Dr Peyman Abkhezr is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Applied Psychology at Griffith University, Australia. His research focuses on career development and counselling, with particular emphasis on narrative and systemic approaches.

As a member of two Griffith University research centres, the Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing and the Griffith Institute for Educational Research, he explores how diverse groups, including migrants, navigate the complexities of career development and work-life transitions across cultures and contexts. 

Peyman is co-editor of the book Narrative Career Counselling: From Theory to Practice in Diverse Cultures and Contexts. He also serves as Associate Editor for the British Journal of Guidance & Counselling and the Australian Journal of Career Development.
